All Southern Grace products, are made here in the Appalachian Mountains, in a log cabin on our farm. We use fresh, natural ingredients without use of synthetic colors or premade bases. Paraben free. We make every batch from scratch.
Why Go To The Trouble To Make Our Own Lotions? This is a question we are often asked. As you know, your skin is the largest body organ. You have to take care of it and be very careful what you put on it. Most big-brand lotions contain harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin, alcohol that dries the skin, and sometimes petroleum products. Our goat milk lotion is made from natural ingredients that don't leave the skin itchy, dry or irritated - and is better for you and the environment.
Current varieties of LOTION:
We had a goal to perfect a recipe for goat's milk lotion that would have as few preservatives as possible - and those had to be all natural - and be shelf stable for at least a year. After years of trial and error, we've found a great recipe that we are happy to use ourselves and happy to share with you. The lotions listed are what we normally have on hand, but give us a call to see what has been inspired.
Mountain Lavender Lotion
No one really has time to relax anymore, so we’ve made it for you! Everyone understands the relaxing, healing property of lavender but few understand how pure and natural this lotion truly is. This lotion rebalances and restores your skin. Plant lipids and oils naturally restore your skin’s lipid balance, so even extra dry undernourished skin is replenished with long-lasting, easily absorbed moisture. Adding the vitamins and minerals from our goats’ milk to this organic extravaganza, you are rejuvenated at both the cellular and spiritual level! Ocean Potion Lotion
Can you hear the waves crashing on the shore? Rub some of our lotion in and try again……This unique scent will remind you of a morning walk on the beach. It has notes of black seaweed accord, cucumber water, Galia melon, green lily blossoms, dewy rose, and white tea leaves.
Shepherd’s Friend
Shepherd’s Friend combines the valuable ingredients from both the goat (goat’s milk) and sheep (lanolin). On top of this, we have added the refreshing smells of spearmint and eucalyptus essential oil! How could any Shepherd go wrong with this choice!
Pure Goodness
That’s right ..... pure, simple goat milk lotion! No fragrance or essential oils have been added to this lotion for those who decide to just “keep it real!” You can enjoy as is, or create your own master piece by added your choice of essential oils in home.
Sandalwood Vanilla
Pure and exotic scents! Sandalwood Vanilla is also an all time favorite. This light and dreamy scent will make wonder how you have ever survived without it!
Wild Rose
A true rose smell - Do you remember the smell of Grandma’s roses after a light rain in the early summer hours? Let this rose scented soap take you back to a simpler time. Soft and not over powering. Rated a favorite among our customers!
Coconut Cream Lotion
At the request of a good friend, we have created this new lotion with a fragrance of coconut and citrus bliss! Don't blame us if the scent of this lotion makes you want to don your flip flops, and sit in the sun with a refreshing beverage! Bring on the summer!!
Shave & a Haircut
............two bits!! Remember that little ditty played at the end of many great blue grass songs? Well, this lotion will bring back memories of walking into an old-time barber shop. It has clear and crisp notes of bergamot, sandalwood, cedar, amber, musk, and cool mint. Wrap yourself in a hot towel, relax, and enjoy!
Mississippi Memories
Tennessee is full of good friends! We recently met Andrea at a goat gathering in Elizabethton, TN. Andrea spoke of her childhood memories on her grandmother’s front porch in Mississippi, reflecting back on the sweet smell of honeysuckle, jasmine, and magnolias. Memories that were so sweet to her and her cousins. She asked if we could capture these memories in a soap and lotion. Be sure and try our Mississippi Memories soap as well!

Black Amber Lavender
You'll love this sophisticated lavender scent. It's a blend of amber, black myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean, Egyptian musk, and Clary sage. It's a new spin on an old favorite! .
Black Raspberry Vanilla
This fragrance is definitely a crowd pleaser. It's a sweet mix of bergamot, pear, plum wine, vanilla, orchid, cashmere, and musk. Sandal wood powder is stripped throughout the soap.
Nostalgia
This lotion is made in honor of my father, Paul Smiley! He loved Old Spice after shave and passed this on to my boys. When I smell this lotion, it brings back such good memories! Dad and my oldest son, Caleb, are pictured on the front bottle of the lotion walking hand in hand out to the hayfield. Some good things never change!
Buck Master
This lotion is made with a fragrance that is the version of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. It has a strong, warm, masculine and slightly woody scent.
