Southern Grace Sensations

Farming in the South by the Grace of God!

Goat Milk Soap

Our soap is made in the Appalachian Mountains, in a log cabin on the farm. Our dairy girls  (Emma Belle and Lilly Belle) are a cross of alpine and fainting goats and supply the milk for our soap.  We use the most environmentally friendly coconut, palm, and olive oils we can find as these compose the base of our soaps. There is no use of synthetic colors or premade bases. We make every batch from scratch.  Our soap is hand cut and is approximately 4.5 oz.  Cost - $5 / bar

Shepherd’s Soap

Taking the best from both the sheep and goat worlds, here is a soap that combines the goodness of goat’s milk with the softening, healing properties of lanolin.  Lanolin is very similar to the oils secreted by our own skin and it’s able to provide a protective barrier and act as an excellent moisturizer.   We’ve added a combination of Eucalyptus and Spearmint essential oils that will have you feeling fresh as a meadow.  We have included the beneficial powder of the olive leaf that contains astringent and antiseptic properties.   So don’t worry about getting lost and dirty, we’ve found you and we’ll get you clean!

Peppy Peppermint

The essential oil of Peppermint has qualities of strengthening, soothing and stimulating.  Ribboned throughout the soap is a combination of rose clay and rose hip powder, known to contain antiseptic and astringent properties.  Combine this with the moisturizing of our goats’ milk and natural oils and you are ready to take on the world – or whatever it throws at you!  Go on, get some pep!

Mountain Lavender

This is an ol’ fashioned favorite and our most requested soap.  This soap leaves your skin feeling as soft as a misty, mountain morning.  Let the fresh smell of lavender soothe your mind and help erase the dirt and worries of a busy day.

Gentle Tangerine Scrub

Gentle exfoliating properties from locally sourced corn meal bring with it a burst of citrus sunshine and leave you saying, “with skin this smooth, I can do anything!”  The moisturizing properties form the goat milk make this soap delightful to the skin and senses alike.

Oatmeal Honey

With the skin soothing properties of freshly ground oatmeal and organic honey from the bees on our farm, this soap will have your skin gently exfoliated while deeply moisturized.  Oatmeal can help soothe itchy rashes, such as poison ivy or other spots of contact dermatitis. It can also soothe the pain of sunburn and stop the irritation of insect bites. Oatmeal soap is said to be a great choice for children because it gently soothes their rashes.  Honey is wonderful for your skin as it has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.   Bee Happy and Healthy!

Oatmeal Honey Lavender

The only thing we could think of to make our Oatmeal-Honey soap better was to add essential oil of lavender.  So go ahead, soothe your senses, moisturize your skin and feel the lover from our healthy, happy honey bees.

Lemongrass

We thought this would be a seasonal selection but it has proven so popular that we make it year round.  Lemongrass essential oil is refreshing, uplifting, calming and restorative.  The essential oil of lemongrass contains a high proportion of citral, which is antiseptic, bactericidal, a deodorant and antifungal.  As a cousin to citronella, it also is known as a bug repellent.  Lemon peel ribboned throughout the soap.

Pure Goodness

For those with ultra-sensitive skin, this soap has been made for you.  Just the pure, healthy benefits of goat milk and moisturizing oils with no essential oil added.  Some of our hunting friends have told us that this is their preferred soap as it has no bold scent.  But we bet the deer would love to have the smell of lavender out in the woods!

Get Your Shine On

Yes, we use real Apple Pie moonshine in this soap.  We included local apple cider, apple fragrance, clove essential oil, and a dash of natural cinnamon and clove spice.  It smells great!  Put it together with our dairy goats milk and you’ll get all the healthy benefits with the fun of soaping up with Shine.   A fun and unusual Christmas gift.

Mermaid Magic and Champagne Bubbles

Can you hear the splash of the ocean waves?  This soap may take you there!  It has all the beneficial properties of the above goat milk soaps, but contains kelp as well, streaked throughout the soap itself.  Champagne has been added to increase the lather effect.  If that’s not enough, green mica glitter can be found on the top of the soap to remind you of a mermaid’s shimmer!  It has notes of black seaweed accord, cucumber water, Galia melon, green lily blossoms, dewy rose, and white tea leaves.

Southern Charm

With a warm tobacco base note and top notes of …bay leaf, fir needle, cedar wood, and crisp bergamot this soap reminds you of the charm of the south.  Moringa Leaf Powder, known as the Miracle Tree or the Tree of Life is added to the soap.  The leaves of this tree are packed with Vitamin A, B, and C, manganese, and protein

  Contentment Clove

This soap is just like you – fresh, warm, and spicy!  The essential oil of cloves has strong antimicrobial and antiseptic properties.  Combine this with the wholesome goodness of our goat’s milk and natural oils and this soap is as good for you as it smells!  Ground cloves sprinkled throughout.

Nature's Jewel

This Goat milk soap is made with the Jewel weed, found in wet, moisture rich areas on the farm.  The Jewel weed is thought to be a natural herbal remedy for poison oak and ivy, stinging nettle, insect bites, acne, heat rash, bruises, and eczema.  The subtle notes of patchouli and ginger have been added to make this soap a real jewel!

Wild Rose

A true rose smell - Do you remember the smell of Grandma's roses in the early summer mornings after a fresh rain?  Let the smell of this Wild Rose soap take you back to simpler times.  Soft and not over powering.  Sandalwood powder is added for it's antibacterial and exfoliate properties.  Rated a favorite among our customers.

                                                                                                            Coconut Rum Soap

"Where has all the rum gone?".....why we put it in the soap, of course!  This is one of 4 of our soaps that is made with alcohol.  The alcohol dissolves during the saponification process, but leaves the soap extra bubbly and a firmer bar.  It has become a hit among our customers.  The Coconut Rum soap is bedazzled with lemon peel throughout for gentle exfoliation properties.  It will fill your room with coconut and citrus fragrances and remind you of sweet summer time!

                                                                                                           Citrus Sensation Soap

We've brought this summer favorite back, and have kept it year-round.  Made with champagne, it is rich in bubbles and has a delightful blend of citrus, blackberry, and champagne.  It's a favorite that has been requested to be made especially for summer wedding party gifts for the guests.

Amish Quilt

This soap is a tribute to our Amish Outlaw, Liney!  It comes together like a patch work quilt with hints of pumpkin spice, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon.  Pumpkin powder is added as a mild exfoliant that is high in antioxidants and full of valuable nutrients of vitamins A, C, and E that is known to prevent sun damage and wrinkles.  So, wrap yourself up in this ‘Amish Quilt’ and proclaim, “Des es Goot!” (translated as “This is good!)

Highland Memories

Great Grand-ma Hodge was a pioneer, mountain woman that grew up and raised her family in Highland County.  Her homeplace is still a favorite retreat for the generations that followed.  Highland County has a ‘song’ all of its own an deserves a soap named after it as a tribute to the special place that it holds in our family’s heart.  “Highland Memories” smells fresh and clean with notes of apple, balsam fir, cedarwood, along with cinnamon and clove.  It’s what I would think Great Grand-ma Hodge’s cabin smelled like on a fall day with apple butter cooking outside in a copper kettle.  As an added benefit, olive powder has been striped throughout the soap and it is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  It helps to repair damaged skin and nourishes and hydrates at the same time.  I think Great Grand-ma Hodge would be pleased and so will you!

Tennessee Blues

We LOVE Tennessee!  It’s like a second home.....full of good people, beautiful country, and boasts of incredible musicians!  We were asked by a friend from Tennessee to try a new soap, combining the clove soap and the tangerine scrub soap.  Who knew it is a perfect combination of essential oils and is referred to as “The cure for the blues!”  And we surely need a cure for the blues this year!  With the suggestion to add corn meal as a scrub to the soap, maybe we can scrub away those Covid Blues of 2020!!  ‘Covid has left the building!  Uh-huh-huh!’

Mississippi Memories

Tennessee is full of good friends!  We recently met Andrea at a goat gathering in Elizabethton, TN.  Andrea spoke of her childhood memories on her grandmother’s front porch in Mississippi, reflecting back on the sweet smell of honeysuckle, jasmine, and magnolias.  Memories that were so sweet to her and her cousins.  She asked if we could capture these memories in a soap and lotion.  Be sure and try our Sweet Southern Nights lotion as well!

Frankincense

With skin soothing properties of freshly ground oatmeal and organic honey, your skin will be gently exfoliated and deeply moisturized.  Oatmeal calms itchy rashes, sunburn and insect bites.  Honey is a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.   To top it off, we have added the calming benefits of Frankincense essential oil, which has all of the necessary physical properties to make it ideal for the skin. It can help to tone the skin and keep it in good condition as well as fighting against common skin disorders like acne and eczema.  It also promotes the regeneration of new and healthy skin cells while reducing the appearance of scars and other blemishes

Black Raspberry Vanilla

This fragrance is definitely a crowd pleaser. It's a sweet mix of bergamot, pear, plum wine, vanilla, orchid, cashmere, and musk.   Sandal wood powder is stripped throughout the soap.
